Check your coupon stash for a $2.00 off coupon when you buy two ritz, wheat thins or triscuits crackers. You should find the coupon in the January 25 Smart Source. Nabisco crackers -- ritz, wheat thins and triscuits, are advertised 5 for $5 this week -- 4 to 5.25 ounce size (one sleeve of ritz.) Use this coupon to purchase two small boxes of crackers. I found these small packages of crackers in the front of the store. You will pay only sales tax.
My cashier studied the coupon careully. Coupon says any two ritz, wheat thins or triscuit. Expiration date 3-31-09. There was no reason not to accept the coupon for an incredibly good deal. "I don't think you can use this coupon for these crackers," she finally said. I smiled. "The coupon says for any two," I quietly explained. She said, "Yes, but the picture is for the big box of crackers." "The coupon says for any two ritz," I repeated. I waited. I knew the coupons would scan because all the information was correct. "I'll call the manager," she said. "We'll take the coupons," the manager said. "Some of the coupons specify which size box, but this one does not. It is their loss."
Don't feel that you are cheating anyone out of their money for using a coupon to get a free item. CVS will be reimbursed $2.00 for my coupon, plus $.08 for a handling fee. I enjoyed some of the ritz crackers as I continued my shopping. This is free publicity for nabisco.
