For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever beleiveth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

The Sweetest Words to the Sweetest Song
My Daddy, playing Jesus Loves Me for family on Christmas Day
Jesus Loves Me
Jesus loves me this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to Him belong
They are weak, but He is strong.
Yes Jesus loves me,
Yes Jesus loves me,
Yes Jesus loves me,
The Bible tells me so.
Jesus loves me, He who died
Heaven's gate to open wide
He will wash away my sin
Let His little child come in
Yes Jesus loves me,
Yes Jesus loves me,
Yes Jesus loves me,
The Bible tells me so.
Jesus loves me He will stay
Close beside me all the way
He's prepared a home for me,
And someday His face I'll see.
Yes Jesus loves me,
Yes Jesus loves me,
Yes Jesus loves me,
The Bible tells me so.

Through love serve one another
Willing Hands Ready to Serve
My mother Carolyn and my niece Recah, ready to serve dessert when our family gathered in our home last January. Featured is Nana's Chocolate Pudding Pie, a family favorite.
For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For all the law is fulfulled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one antoher! Galatians 5:13-15

Happy Birthday, Sweetheart!
My Glen
loves me with an unselfish heart
brings me coffee each morning
looks into my heart with intent to understand me
cheers me when i am sad
makes better lasagne than me
shares everything he has with me
shops with me
sings hymns with me
prays with me and for me
knows when i am awake
knows when i am asleep
provides for me
eagerly protects me
helps others
laughs and makes me laugh
loves Jesus
leads our family
sets a Godly example for our three sons
likes to be at home
and gives me good advice
i love you
always,
lisa

Taco Soup
I enjoy soup of any variety, but especially soup that my family likes, too.
I recently made this soup for a friend who had surgery. Mama set the example for me by taking soup to friends and family in times of illness or need. Why, I wondered in you youth, would Mama go to visit someone with a jar of homemade vegetable soup and cornbread? Now I understand that in times of illness or grief, nothing satisfies like a warm bowl of soup.
Taco Soup
3/4 pound ground beef
1/2 of an onion, chopped
1/2 of a green pepper, chopped
1 14.5 oz. can of tomatoes with green chilies
1 14.5 oz. can creamed or whole kernel corn
1 14.5 oz. can black beans
2 small cans of tomato sauce, or 1 large
1/2 packet of taco seasoning, more or less according to your taste
2 cans water (use cans from vegetables)
fritos
sour cream
grated cheese
Brown ground beef with onion and green pepper. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, turn down heat, simmer. Or, put all ingredients in crock pot and cook all day.
Serve with fritos, sour cream and grated cheese.
Here is the sweet note I received from my friend:
Dear Lisa and Glen,
Thank you for dinner. It was very good, and the cheesecake is wonderful! Samantha is still enjoying it! You are good friends, and I appreciate your kindness. Becky
